Digital Resources for Mental Health

Although there are many helpful sources of information for mental health concerns, there are also many resources that lack evidence for their usefulness or safety.

If you are considering downloading an App for the provision of mental health information, a useful starting point is the ORCHA website. ORCHA reviews health Apps for their evidence and safety so that individuals can make more informed decisions about which Apps might be helpful for their specific concerns.

You can search for mental health Apps by keyword, device (Android or IOS), functions/features, country of origin, intended target age group, and cost (free vs paid). Each App is rated for Data Privacy, Clinical Assurance, and User Experience.

You can access the website here:

https://appfinder.orcha.co.uk

Please note that Dr Williams does not personally endorse any of the Apps listed in this directory.
